Wow! We shot the most fantastic wedding a few weekends ago! Leisha and Kyle are simply two of the most genuinely in love people I think I have ever met. They were truly giddy all day. Photogenic Images also encountered a first during this ceremony- a traditional foot washing, which Leisha and Kyle chose to do in honor of their Christian faith. During the reception, we stole a few minutes to take photos during sunset. When I saw this field I knew it would be a beautiful compliment to her bridal portraits.

We were so happy to be a part of this celebration and we can't wait to see where life takes them together!

Leisha and Kyle were married this Saturday (yippeee), so I can finally share her gorgeous bridal portraits with you. She was so so beautiful- honestly on her wedding day I think she was glowing. When I asked what feeling she wanted to achieve during our shoot, she said 'pretty and dreamy', so we went with lots of vintage washes and soft focus filters. Jake and I recently had the pleasure of shooting Cami and Sams Robert Carr Chapel wedding, and boy was it gorgeous! Cami was the quintessential beautiful bride, with a fun quirky twist. Tara and I went to high school together, and honestly she and Evan are two of the nicest people I know. I am so glad that they decided to have us join them on their big day, and it was awesome seeing her marry the man of her dreams. Enjoy!

Ps . For those of you wondering if you should schedule a few extra minutes in your day to get pictures of just the two of you, check out their 'formals' gallery. I think we had 20-30 minutes to play around and I think that we were able to get some really great images that really reflect their excitement! The shot below happens to be one of my favs because I think it is totally them, but it was really nice to have a range to choose from!

Spring/Summer portrait schedule

Hellooooo all!

Our schedules are getting CRAZY for spring/summer portraits. Jason and I will be traveling a ton, spending some time in Austin and have a few out of town weddings booked. As such, I've listed the available dates through June for portrait sessions below. This is just a reminder that we shoot portrait sessions on weekdays (preferably Tuesdays or Thursdays) unless there is an emergency or weather concern. We have made a few weekend dates available in June because of our travel schedules, but they are very limited. If you need to book a session, please take a look at the available dates and let me know asap if you'd like to get on the calendar. Eric and Katy Wedding

Eric and Katy threw one of my favorite weddings of the season. It was warm, cozy, beautiful and super relaxed. It didnt hurt either that they really valued their wedding photos and made sure we had plenty of time and beautiful natural light to take pictures of just the two of them. Here are a few of my favorite images of the day.

Katy checking out her yummy cake from La Duni. If you have not been to La Duni Latin Kitchen RUN there. It is SOOOO delicious, and their cakes are enviable.

LOVE this super sweet one of Katy and her dad!

I think Katy is just stunning in this photo. They like vintage stylings, so I really think the 'old school' was works beautifully.

Jason caught this at the end of their first dance. Talk about being at the right place at the right time, I love it!

Cassie and David Maternity

You guys might recognize these two faces as our dear friends Cassie and David. They welcomed a beautiful little boy into the world about 2 months ago, so I think it's about time to post these! :-) All of these were taking in my house, using natural morning light. Lori and Mark were married a LOOOOONG time ago, but I'm just now getting around to all the blog updates! Lori and Mark are such fun, warm and committed people- it was easy to see why so many people love them dearly. Thank you guys for allowing us into your little (or big!) circle of family and friends and for sharing such an important day with us. We know you'll be happy and in love for a very long time

We were so fortunate to be near the beautiful SMU campus, we we took advantage for a few happy couple pictures!

Lori really wanted to try and get a photo of everyone who came.... the only place large enough was the beautiful church courtyard! It was fun trying to coordinate everyone, and I think the photo turned out exactly like she wanted.

We liked her even though she's an aggie :0)

Katy is one of my favorite brides of the year. She and Eric were married this fall, so I finally have the opportunity to post these. I didnt ever tell her, but when I saw her for the first time in her dress my very first thought was 'that has got to be one of the prettiest brides i've ever seen'. Cami and Sam Engagement

Meeting Cami and Sam was truly a very happy accident. Jason and I were waiting for an engagement session to start and out of the corner of my eye I saw something that was just interesting- I wasnt sure what was going on, but I was sure it was important. Low and behold, about 2 minutes after I grabbed my long lens, Sam dropped to one knee and asked Cami to marry him. At the risk of being totally creepy, I approached them after a few minutes to let her know that if she would like the files I'd be happy to give them to her. Fast forward several months and they've decided to use us for their upcoming summer wedding. We shot their real engagements a few months ago, and I was thrilled to see their chemistry in action! Robbie and Laura are Married

Robbie and Laura were married in Denton and had their reception at the Beautiful Wildwood Inn. I used to live in Denton and have driven by the Wildwood many times, but never realized it was such a wonderful venue. Thank you guys for allowing us to work with you, it was truly a pleasure!

I love this shot with all of Lauras sisters. Believe it or not we did not set this up, they really were all gathered around watching her get ready, it was super sweet.

It was really only drizzling, but they played along anyway!

Yum! Another wonderful Candy Haven Cake. Those guys are soooo good at what they do!

Katie & Hunt are engaged

Katie and Hunt are one of our fun December wedding couples. They are absolutely adorable together and you can really tell that they have a great relationship. Hunt is a teacher in the area, and we were fortunate enough to have a few of his students as an audience during our session :0)

We made a small pit stop at their favorite wine bar. I LOVE shooting places that actually mean something to our couples, its so much more comfortable!

I thought both of these were both so 'them', so I wanted to show both versions.

Whew, what a whirlwind of a year this has been for us!! We've moved, transitioned to Mac, added onto our team and shot some really wonderful couples! I'll be trying my hardest to update the blog over the next few days with some of our new (ok, its really almost all months old, but hey, i'm a busy girl) work for you guys to check out. Family Fun Day!

Lately we've had a lot of inquiries about family holiday photos, and boy are we flattered! We love shooting returning customers and seeing how your family has grown! In order to accomodate everyone, we've decided to have a family fun day out at the arboretum. I've listed the details below, if you have any questions or if you'd like to reserve your time slot shoot us an email. Happy holidays!!

Family Fun Day

Date: November 16th

Time: 9:00am-5pm, 25 minute time slots

Cost: $50.00 (does not include arboretum admission)

What: Fast and fun family photos that are perfect for the holidays. Each family will have 30 minutes to do their thing and are allowed up to 4 people in each group. You may add additional group members for an additional $15 per person.

Stuff: You'll get the shooting time, basic editing, online proofing and cd with 5X7 sized proofs that are perfect for holiday cards and small prints.

How: If you would like to book a session, shoot us an email with your requested time. We will email you a confirmation and short contract that can be returned to us by email. Payment is accepted either before or the day of the shoot.

Spring Update

Hi there guys! We wanted to let everyone know that our spring is pretty well booked with weddings. We are completely full for April and May and only have space for 1 more June wedding. If you're interested in March or June please contact us asap since we're getting several inquiries per week about spring dates now. Hopefully I'll be caught up soon and able to update the blog with some of our summer weddings, we've had a heck of a season!!
